My Updates

More Time, More Memories, More Miracles

Friday 27th Feb

Some organizations you support. Others become part of your story. Expect Miracles Foundation is deeply woven into mine.

In February 2022, my mother’s courageous battle with cancer came to an end. Yet our family is living proof of the foundation’s impact. She thrived for years after her diagnosis, in large part because of an immunotherapy treatment developed by Dana-Farber and directly funded by Expect Miracles. That breakthrough gave us priceless time — time for her to celebrate my wedding and to become “Nana”… twice. Those moments are gifts we will carry forever.

Supporting Expect Miracles is not abstract for me. It is personal. It represents extended time, preserved dignity, and hope grounded in real scientific progress. The foundation advances innovative cancer research while also supporting patients and families navigating the financial realities of survivorship through Samfund. It understands that fighting cancer requires both breakthrough medicine and compassionate, practical care.

In 2023, in her memory, I completed my first Half Ironman (70.3 miles) to raise funds for this life-saving and life-changing mission. Crossing that finish line was meaningful — but the deeper purpose was knowing the effort supported research and families facing battles like ours.

Now, in 2026, my commitment continues. I am not only honoring my mother’s legacy, but also raising funds in the name of other family members and close friends who have faced — or are facing — their own battles with cancer. This cause represents them, too. Supporting Expect Miracles is my way of paying forward the time we were given and standing alongside those still in the fight.

To my friends and colleagues: if you feel called, please consider supporting Expect Miracles — and a company match if available. Any contribution truly makes a difference.

It certainly did for the Lee family.
