Miles for Better Cancer Detection and Treatment

Hello, I’m Quincey LaPlant, MD, PhD, primarily a breast cancer radiation oncologist and researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Every day, I care for patients facing breast cancer and work toward developing better, more targeted ways to detect and treat this disease.

We need to do a better job of finding breast cancer earlier — even earlier — and I truly believe we can. Treatment continues to improve rapidly, with more personalized and targeted therapies offering greater hope and better outcomes for patients every year. But continued progress requires support, advocacy, research, and community.

I’m participating in the Expect Miracles Foundation Distance Challenge to help support patients and advance cancer research. I’m deeply grateful for the encouragement from the EMF team and for the stories shared by patients, survivors, families, and supporters along the way. Thank you for helping move this mission forward.

Thank you to my Donors
