Cancer is not an abstract cause to me. It is deeply personal.

In 2023, my wife Nicole was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. That same year, my sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. Last year, we lost my friend Suzanne Tanner to stomach cancer.

Watching people you love face cancer changes you. It shows you the fear, the pain, the uncertainty, but it also shows you extraordinary courage. I have been inspired by the strength of these women and by the incredible care and compassion of those who help patients fight every day.
