I'm participating in the Expect Miracles Distance Challenge this year because cancer is hitting especially close to home. Two of my close friends' parents are currently fighting, and my aunt was recently diagnosed. It's a helpless feeling at times, but showing up and doing something feels like a way to stand beside them and support their fight.
