Birthday Challenge: 59 miles, 1 day to honor 4 people and help millions

Please join me in going the distance to leave cancer behind! Once again, I’ll be participating in the annual EMF Distance Challenge and would love your support by either joining my team, Team Hope, or supporting my personal goal of raising $25,000 for Expect Miracles Foundation. 

Like last year, I am doing a birthday challenge – to run 59 miles in 1 day in support of EMF’s mission of hope for the cancer community.

This year, I am dedicating my Distance Challenge to four people:

In memory of Mary Keenan, a beloved former EMF colleague who we tragically lost last June to a second battle with breast cancer. Mary’s passion for helping other patients and survivors continues to be an inspiration for me and my colleagues.

In memory of Mike Foutes, a member of EMF’s Board of Directors who tragically lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma in January. Even when battling cancer himself, Mike was a steady force of support and leadership for EMF.

In honor of Chris Goff, a great friend and EMF Miracle Maker who beat esophageal cancer last year and continues to be an amazing model of positivity and gratitude.

And in honor of my best friend, my muse, my wife, Whitney, who at 14 years cancer-free is the best proof that investing in cancer research saves lives. 

100% of participant-raised donations go to support EMF’s cancer research funds at Dana-Faber and Memorial Sloan Kettering, and EMF’s SAMFund financial assistance grants for young adult cancer survivors.
