Why I am doing the Distance Challenge?

I am thrilled and grateful to report that April 9th, marks 11 years cancer-free!!! It was a year of chaos.... because that is what a cancer diagnosis does to you and your world. It shocks you, puts you on the defensive, turns your world upside down and then forces you to learn a new language that includes medical terms, cancer stages, statistics and treatment plans. You feel a total lack of control. So what's left? Hope and faith. I put my faith into Dana Farber. Dana Farber gave me back some control with a treatment plan which provided hope.
Now, 11 years later, I am beyond lucky to be a part of an incredible organization called Expect Miracles Foundation. Turns out, my journey is not complete. I am proud to part of this powerful team that is working on the offensive against cancer, making an impact and providing hope and faith. Expect Miracles Foundation directs funds to groundbreaking cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center while providing essential financial grants to young adult cancer survivors.
In May, I'm getting moving to leave cancer behind with the our biggest fundraiser, the Expect Miracles Foundation's Distance Challenge. Thanks to the generosity of EMF’s sponsors, 100% of the donation goes directly to the cause.
I've set a goal to raise $3,500, and your support is key to reaching it.
